Dear Dada Mange
I am one of the witness who has seen these things happen. Ladies have been robbed their bags and purses, bruised etc. but the event that made me write to you is the one that happened yesterday where a bodaboda guy who had carried a passenger from buguruni to masaki was robbed his new motorbike at around 2 in the afternoon.
He had no idea where masaki was so his passenger( who was a thief) was giving him directions. When they got to a street in mlali road near the blue mirrored apartments in masaki, his bike broke down. As he was trying to repair it, his passenger (the thief) was making a call to his collegues to come and meet him there. So after a few minutes some other 2 theives came with a bike and tried to grab the bodaboda driver to give them the keys to his bike. When he tried to resist one of them got a gun and pointed it at him so out of fear for his life he gave them the keys and tried to run. The three thieves started riding so slowly and when they were a bit far the bodaboda driver started shouting for help but it didn’t help him much because with the pace that the thieves were riding no one could suspect that they had stolen the bike. So he ended up losing it.
Please we need the police to be patroling this area of masaki because it has become highly dangerous na inatisha sana. And these theives use nice cars, taxi, and bikes to robe people. I hope that our voices will be heard and we will be given help as soon as possible.
Thanking you
ESSIE….
